I previously posted this tutorial, and then removed it because I found a better, easier way to make them. So, here is the revised project.

Step 1Cut the aluminum can so that you have the bottom third, then cut sides and roll to form flower like base.

Step 2Place first bead onto shank of thumbtack.

Step 3Then push tack through the center of your base.

Step 4Now arrange six more beads around the center.

Step 5Put the whole thing in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and push thumbtack down until even with base. Then, back in the oven for another 10 minutes, or until holes in beads have disappeared.

Step 6Allow your creation to cool and then pop off the base.
