Step 1
Flower Garden Directions
Using 3.5mm 16” circular needle, cast on 120 sts in MC. Place marker and join for working in the
round, being careful not to twist.
Work 6 rounds of corrugated ribbing pictured in Chart A
Knit one round
Work 48 rounds of Flower Garden Chart. The chart repeats 5 times per round.
Switch to double pointed needles when there are too few stitches to continue with the circular.
After completing Round 48, you should have 10 sts on your needles. Cut yarn, leaving a 6” / 15 cm tail
and thread through remaining stitches. Pull tight and sew in ends. -
Step 2
Blocking
Soak hat in cool water with wool wash (optional) for approximately 20 minutes. Remove from soaking
and roll in a towel to gently squeeze out excess moisture. Gently stuff hat with grocery bags or blow
up a balloon inside to the approximate size of your head, being careful not to over stretch the fabric,
and allow the hat to dry.
