  • Step 1

    Cast on 40 stchs in yarn A.
    Row1: knit 1, purl 2*, knit 2, repeat from * to last 3 stchs, purl 2, knit 1.
    Row 2: Purl 1, *knit 2, purl 2, repeat from * to last 3 stchs, knit 2, purl 1.
    Rows 3-6: Repeat rows 1-2 twice more.
    Row 7: Using B, knit to end of row.
    Row 8: Using B, purl to end of row.
    Row 9: Using A, knit to end of row.
    Row 10: Using A, purl to end of row.
    Rows 11-16: Repeat rows 7-10 once more, then rows 7-8.
    Row 17: Using A [k7, k3 stchs together] 4 times.
    Row 18: Using A, purl to end of row.
    Row 19: Using B, [k5, k3 stchs together] 4 times.
    Row 20: Using B, purl to end of row.
    Row 21: Using A, [k3, k3 stchs together] 4 times.
    Row 22: Using A, [purl 2 stchs together] 8 times.
    Cast off.

  • Step 2

    Make up by joining seam using mattress stitch.
