Create a boutique style scarf in minutes
If you’ve been to a brick-and-mortar fabric store recently, you’ve probably noticed that there is a lot of ruffle knit fabric out there. Besides your basic tops, skirts and dresses what can you do with this material? How about a super easy-to-sew scarf? This one can me whipped up in a matter of minutes and looks like you've spent a fortune!

  • Step 1

The great thing about this scarf is that there isn't even cutting involved! Just fold your fabric in half, lengthwise, making sure that the ruffles are all going in a downward direction. It's a good idea to pin your scarf together to keep the ruffles in place and consistently lined up.

  • Step 2

Sew the entire length of the scarf using 5/8" seam allowance. Turn right side out and wear. (Because knit fabric doesn't ravel, there is no need to hem or finish the ends of your scarf. Additionally the ruffles will 'hide' the raw edges).
