Double Moss Stitch Chunky Cowl
I absolutely love the texture of double moss stitch, be it teeny tiny on a baby's cardi or in your face in a chunky knit cowl. This one is super easy to make. It is knit flat and seamed together so, if you are like me and still can't manage to join in the round without leaving a gaping hole, it's super simple and frustration free.

You Will Need

Step 1
Cast on 40 stitches.

Step 2
K2, P2 to the end of the row.

Step 3
K2, P2 to the end of the row

Step 4
P2, K2 to the end of the row.

Step 5
P2, K2 to the end of the row.

Step 6
K2, P2 to the end of the row.

Step 7
Repeat rows 3 to 6 until your knitting measures approximately 32", ending on row 6.
32" will give you a good drape. If you want to be able to loop it around then knit to approx. 44" or 50" before casting off. If you like it a little snugger then go to 26".

Step 8
Do 1 row of K2, P2 all the way across.

Step 9
Cast off leaving a long tail.

Step 10
Using the long tail, thread the darning needle and sew the cast on and cast off edges together. Weave in any loose ends.
The finished item will be approx. 14.5" wide.
I used Woolcraft New Fashion Chunky in Saxe, I only used about 1/5th of the second ball.
