Dress up a plain Candle
I like candles, but I find ordinary ones are plain and dull when not in use. I love these ones now !

  • How to make a candle. Easy Decorative Tissue Candle - Step 1
    Step 1

Get your supplies together. I used paper napkins(I love Coffee !), but tissue paper can be used too.

These candles were already sitting in my lounge room looking boring.

  • Step 2

Paper napkin usually has two very thin layers - the printed front and a plain back - separate the two layers of thin napkin and discard the plain piece.

Eye ball the napkin and cut to fit your candle, with a slight overlap when wrapped around it.

  • Step 3

Wrap the tissue/napkin around the candle - becareful not to rip it.

Set your hair dryer to maximum heat and turn on low. Hold the dryer about 5 to 10 cm from the side of the candle to heat the wax.

  • Step 4

As the wax is heating up, you should see your tissue starting to look wet as it soaks up the melting wax.

Smooth the tissue down gently as the candle heats then move on to the next section of the candle and repeat.

When that's all finished, leave the candle to cool down/set for a few minutes.

    All finished and pretty !

i LOVE this! how cute would it be to take a personalized napkin from a birthday or wedding, etc and make it into a keepsake candle!
