Double chocolate chip cookies ... with nuts ...ooh!

I got this recipe from a Good Housekeeping book called The Complete Book of Home Baking (1989). I have modified it slightly (by adding cocoa powder), but otherwise it is largely the same
Makes 20 cookies

Recipe

  1. 1

Cream butter, vanilla, and both sugars until pale and fluffy

  2. 2

    Gradually beat in egg

  3. 3

Sift in flour, salt, and cocoa powder

  4. 4

Add nuts and chocolate chips and fold together until it forms a dough

  5. 5

Line 2 baking trays with greasproof paper

  6. 6

Add 10 equal sized blobs of dough to each sheet, evenly spaced (it shouldn't spread too much)

  7. 7

Bake in oven at 180c (350f) mark 4 for 12-15mins or until they just start to brown

  8. 8

Cool on baking sheet for a minute then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

  9. 9

Have a nice cup of tea and a bit of a sit down, your work is done yum yum! :)
