You Will Need

Step 1First of all you need to take your old jeans/trousers and cut them to your wished length (cut it step by step and try it on every time, so that you won't cut them too short and regret it afterwards).

Step 2Now turn the end of the trouser legs for about 2 centimeters: you can either turn the fabric inwards or outwards. For the "used look" I turned it outwards and inwards for the nicer looking version. Fix it with fixing pins and then sew it together. You can sew it with a sewing machine or sew it by hand.

Step 3If you want to create a used look on your shorts, take some scissors and make small holes into the fabric. Then take some sand paper (you can buy it at a hardware store) and rub it all over your shorts until it looks used.

Step 4You can also take a lace of your choice and sew it around the border of your shorts. You can do whatever you want with your shorts!
