Create unusual magnets to show off your photos, cards, or child's artwork.
I wanted a way to honor my preschooler's artwork on the fridge, and it seems like I'm always needing new magnets. On a whim I grabbed several pictures frames I came across while thrifting and turned them into magnets to show off drawings, paintings and photographs in style.

    Step 1

Collect an assortment of picture frames. This can be done very cheaply by visiting thrift stores, yard sales, or repurposing old frames from your home. Lighter plastic and wood frames are best.

Clean and leave as is or coat with a layer of spray paint for a unified look. Of the frames I used, I only painted the silver one (it was a horrible blue and gold combo) and used metal tones as my theme.

Using your glue gun, glue magnets to the backs of your frame. On average I used about two magnets per frame. I used a mixture of regular black magnets and super-strong rare earth magnets.

Wait for glue to completely dry and set and then decorate your fridge like an art gallery.
