Custard Slices
These are really easy to make.
You could use ready made custard & shop bought pastry.
You could also make them from scratch but I don't think there is really much point as they taste so yummy the easy way.

You Will Need

Step 1Make the custard, or if using store bought, make sure it is chilled in the fridge.

Step 2Roll out the pastry & cut into rectangle shapes.
You can use what ever size you wish.

Step 3Sprinkle a little icing sugar on top of the pastry when you remove it from the oven.
Cool the pastry on a rack.

Step 4Pour the custard into a square, lined tin, & leave to set.
Cover with cling film so that no skin forms on top.

Step 5Cut the custard into rectangles approx same size as the pastry pieces.
Cut the pastry through the middle to make two pieces.
Stack the custard on top of the bottom half of the pastry.

Step 6Top of the custard with the top half of the pastry.
Make up some glaze icing & spoon on top of pastry.

Step 7Serve chilled.
