• 

  Step 1

  What you need :

  Black Felt (or Plush) | Green/Red/White Fabric
  Needles and Sewing Threads
  Pen for Marking
  Cup and Saucer
  Poly Fill
  Scissors
  Hot glue gun
  Metal Cupcake Pan (not pictured)

• 

  Step 2

  Using a saucer trace a circle in the fabric you chose for the cake (mine is black felt) then cut it out.

  * You will do pretty much the same in the next 2 steps.

• 

  Step 3

  Using the cup draw and cut out a circle of the fabric you chose for the strawberry.

• 

  Step 4

  Repeat the step above for the fabric you chose for the merengue.

• 

  Step 5

  For the strawberry leaves I used this pattern (http://www.quex.frih.net/diagrams/kaki.png) but you can hand-draw it if you prefer.

  Just trace around your pattern (or draw) then cut it out.

• 

  Step 6

  Those are all the pieces you'll need.

• 

  Step 7

  Cake:

  Do a running stitch along the circle.

• 

  Step 8

  Stuff the cake with the Poly Fill then pull the running stitch tight.

  Run the thread across the top a few times (to make sure it is tight).

  Tie a few knots then cut off the excess thread

• 

  Step 9

  It will look like this.

• 

  Step 10

  Merengue:

  Do a running stitch along the circle then pull the running stitch tight.

  Tie a few knots then cut off the excess thread

• 

  Step 11

  It will look like this.

• 

  Step 12

  Strawberry:

  Fold the circle in a half, this will give you a semicircle.

• 

  Step 13

  Then fold the semicircle in a half again.

• 

  Step 14

  It will look like this.

• 

  Step 15

  Sew along the open straight side.

• 

  Step 16

  Flip right side out then do a running stitch along the top.

• 

  Step 17

  Stuff the strawberry with the Poly Fill then pull the running stitch tight.

  Run the thread across a few times to make sure it is tight, tie a few knots then cut off the excess thread.

  Step 18

  Add the leaf to the strawberry using hot glue.

• 

  Step 19

  The glue the strawberry to the top of the merengue (seam up).

• 

  Step 20

  Using hot glue, glue the back of the cake (seam down) in the cupcake pan.

• 

  Step 21

  Then glue the back of the merengue in the top of the cake.

• 

  Step 22

  Ta-da!
