I made this mug cozy for my friend, she found a pattern for a cozy that had a spoon holder, but it was for knitting, so I just looked at the pictures of it and then modified an already made pattern for a crocheted cozy. I just made up the coaster to match because I had extra yarn :)

I crocheted a 3x9 inch piece for the body, then a 1x2.5 inch strip with a button hole, and then two .5x1.5 inch bits to be the spoon holder. I sewed them all on and the button using the same yarn.

I love how it turned out, and I hope my friend loves it too!
