    In light brown

    1) ch 2, 6sc in the first ch. (6)
    2) inc around (12)
    3) *inc, 1sc* around (18)
    4) *inc, 2sc* around (24)
    5) *inc, 3sc* around (30)
    6) *inc, 4sc* around (36)
    7) *inc, 5sc* around (42)
    Rounds 8-14) 1sc in each stitch (42). Fasten off and weave in the end

    Cactus: done in rows
    In green

    1) ch 21. Starting in the second ch from the hook, 1hdc in each ch (20)
    Rows 2-22) In the back loops only, 1hdc in each stitch (20) Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing

    Step 3

    To cinch the cactus closed, sew the 2 ends together. With a yarn needle, sew through the top stitches only.

    Continue to sew through the top stitches of the cylinder, pulling the stitches tightly. This will close the cactus.

    Continue until the hole is closed. Stuff the cactus, and use the same cinching technique on the other side.

    Flowers
    In pink/red

    1) ch 4. Sl st to the first ch
    2) *ch 2, 1treble, st st* x5 into the middle of the circle (not the chains). Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. The center of the flower is made by taking a strand of yellow yarn and tying 2 knots. Put the knot through the middle of the flower to secure it in place.

    Sew the cactus onto the base. Sew the flowers onto the cactus. Put the cactus into the pot, and you are finished!
