Use grey yarn.
Make a loop with the tail end of the yarn on the right, keeping the ball end on the left.
Pull the ball end through the loop. Make one chain through the loop on the hook you have drawn through to steady the circle. Dc 6 into the circle and complete with ss into the first dc.
1st round: 2 dc into each of 6 dc. (12 st)
2nd round: *1 dc. 2 dc into next dc. *6 times (18st)
3rd round: *1 dc into each of next 2 dc, 2 dc into next dc. *6 times (24 st)
4th round: *1 dc into each of next 3 dc, 2 dc into next dc. *6 times (30 st)
5th round: *1 dc into each of next 4 dc, 2 dc into next dc.*6 times (36 st)
6th-9th round: 1 dc into every dc.

Start the same way as usual but 4 dc around the loop to start.

Start with 3 dc into the circle as you did for the head.
1st round: 2 dc into each of 3 dc. (6 st)
2nd round: *1 dc. 2 dc into next dc. *3 times (9 st)

4th-5th round: 1 dc into every dc.

Making Up
Sew all parts together as shown in the photograph.
Attach the eyes.
Embroider the nose and mouth with yellow ?embroidery thread, and the toes with black ?embroidery thread.
