Instructions

  1. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 1 1

Cut out your pieces. A half circle in a nice dark beet color and a leafy green double leaf piece for the greens.

  2. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 2 2

Fold the half circle in half and sew up the open edge, don't forget that nifty little notch in to make a most beety beet shape.

  3. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 3 3

Flip the felt inside out and STUFF!

  4. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 4 4

Stitch around the top of the stuffed beet with big straight stitches and pull tight.

  5. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 5 5

With the beet colored thread stitch veins down the center of each side of your greens. I suggest and up and back method.

  6. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 6 6

Before you knot it pull the greens tight, but not oo tight to creata "leafy" effect.

  7. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 7 7

Roll up your greens. I rolled tightly one way, then took the "second leaf" and rolled it back on itself. I think the effect is better.

  8. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 8 8

    Stitch the greens shut.

  9. How to sew a vegetable plushie. Beets! - Step 9 9

Stitch the greens to the open "whole" in the top of the "beet". Now you have a cute little beet with greens.
