upcycle some beads, make a fun necklace
I took the gold beads from a belt that was falling apart. Using the twisted beading needle, I strung the gold beads, alternated with metallic seed beads. Crochet it in a 4-round single crochet rope, et voila!

I've been giving it some thought, and since I only learned to bead crochet from someone else's tutorial, it wouldn't feel quite right to post a how-to on these. However, I can tell you that I made the pattern by alternating stringing 1 seed bead, 1 metal bead, 1 seed bead, 1 metal bead for approximately 3x the length of the finished necklace. I then crocheted this in a pattern of 4 stitches per round. If you do a search for "how to bead crochet" there are several nice tutorials, even some videos so you can see it in action!
