Simple and stylish!

    Step 1

Print out the patterns and cut them out. Make sure they are printed to scale, not resized (uncheck "Fit picture to frame").

    Step 2

Pin the patterns to the dark fabric (taking the grain of the fabric into account) and cut out according to the directions on the pattern pieces. Then do the same with the light fabric.

Pin the two dark hat pieces together (right sides together) and, using a 1/4" seam allowance, sew around the outer edge of the circle. Pin the dark vest pieces together (right sides together) and sew along the shoulders and the sides, leaving the arm holes open. Then do the same with the respective light pieces.

Turn the pieces right-side out and, turning the fabric under by 1/4", whip-stitch around each arm hole. Do the same for the remaining gaps in the fabric.

BONUS: If you save the inside pieces of the hat brim, you can make a matching purse for your doll as well! Just sew them together as you did the hat, turn them right-side out, fold it in half to look like a taco, and sew up the sides part-way (leaving the top of the "taco" open). I added a small snap on the inside to help it stay closed, and two eyes from a hook-eye closure on either side to which I tied a length of ribbon. I tied the ribbon at the top to make it look like it was meant for a bigger doll, giving the illusion that my dolly is borrowing "Mommy's" purse!
