Flower brooch
A flower i made after seeing a purse in accessorize.

    Step 1

    Grab some cardboard, you can use a cereal box or any cardboard you have laying around.

    Draw some petals, I made a template and traced it but you don't have to be too fussy.

    Cut them out. :-)

    Get some scraps of fabric big enough to cover your petals.

    Pin and sew your fabric petals, I used 12 but you could use as many as you want.

    Sew them together in a circle or cut out a circle of felt and glue them down.

    Add next layer of petals on top, I made these slightly smaller so they'd not cover the layer underneath.

    Add your centre buttons, I covered one of them in one of the fabrics and glued it on top.

  • Step 9

    I'm sorry I don't have a picture for this step but cut out a circle of felt and glue to the back. Add you safety pin or brooch back.

Ooh i love this - i prefer yours to the accessorize version! i just found this website and i think that this will be my first project! It'll look great on my winter coat!
