Easy Peasy headband
I use this pattern to teach knitting and all of my students have been able to learn the techniques AND finish the headband in the 2 hours provided. This is the perfect project for anyone trying to learn how to knit.

  • How to make ear muffs. Absolute Beginner's Headband - Step 1
    Step 1

    Cast on 8 stitches
Knit in garter stitch (knit all stitches) for about 40 rows

  • Step 2

Measure piece on your own head by stretching the headband and seeing if it fits nicely around - it should tight!

    Bind off

  • Step 3

Sew ends together with your tapestry needle

  • Step 4

Take a long piece of yarn in a second colour and pinch part of your headband together width wise, wrap the yarn around a few times to make a pinch in the centre of the headband.

Cut and tie this piece to itself to hold in place
