Gift Ideas for my Nanna

Hi All,

I need some crafty inspiration =)

I don't get to see my Nanna very often and I am hoping to go see her in the next two weeks. I love to spoil her and as I haven't seen her for a while, I've been working hard on handmade gifts for her and so far I have made her a pretty scarf, an embroidered apron, decorated seed envelopes and a lavender bag.

I have some other ideas (half baked ideas I hasten to add) and wondered if anyone had any other ideas they could lend me?? (decorated and embellished keepsake box or decorated and embellished framed photo of me with her when I was a wee little girl)

My Nanna is 82, she insists that although she is old, she is not elderly. She still like to crochet, but her fingers are painful due to severe arthritis. She still loves to keep up with her gardening and loves to cook.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks Guys

K/x

Maybe you could buy a white mug and decorate it yourself.Iv done this a few times. You just buy glass paint and write or draw something she likes (maybe a poem or a quote) on the mug and bake it in the oven.

Thanks guys,

Michelle, I am trying to dig out an old pic of me and my nan when I was a little one. I have also found a little poem about wallking with nanna which I will decorate and frame.

I'm going to see her next sunday and I'm very excited.

You said your Nan still likes to crochet but has arthritis - How about getting some off-cut foan rubber and making her a finger grip for her crochet hook? It will make it fatter and softer to hold so her joints aren't under so much pressure.
