    Photoshoot ideas?

Started almost 2 years ago · Last post 7 months ago · Displaying all 12 Post
    Hey y'all :3

So I've been wanting to have a photoshoot with a group of friends, and we have some people to model, I'd be doing makeup, and there are a few
people who have offered to take the pictures.

My only problem is thinking of a theme.

It was something I mentioned on Facebook and the people are involved are excited, but I've already told them I didn't know what sort of theme I wanted to do.

I really want to do this so I can practice doing makeup on different people, not just myself, and the people who want to do the photos are excited because this would be good for their portfolios.

I'm really into dark sort of makeup, and I was throwing the idea of "industral" in my head (kinda like a Silent Hill sorta thing) but there's no where around here that would have the sort of setting that we'd need.
I know I want it to be something kinda dark, sorta creepy. I just can't think of any words that could inspire, if that makes sense :o

I am sure your town has train tracks, preferably abandoned...also try old warehouses or even abandoned rail cars, or old barns...You could always dress people in dark see through stuff and do ethereal pics in a dead field...
What about in a junkyard? You could get old ballgowns from the goodwill and tatter them up too look like dead prom, or even old nightgowns all tattered with ripped up wings in the woods could be faeries (the evil kind)
CEMETERIES! Esp around dusk or early morning preferably when there is dew or fog.
If I think of more I will let you know.

Cemeteries are always good for dark themed shoots :0
I once helped with a darker theme shoot in a church & outside, but should ask for permission from the church first :P

I think even in a field with a withered tree on the background or something or at a school really early in the morning if you do it just right - I always thought empty school hallways were creepy

Or a really good bet - is close to a construction site or something, Junkyard - or that one random empty lot that everyone likes to dump their stuff in.

    Good luck! :D
