I recently picked up a SpiceCam Polaroid camera for around $5 but I'm having a nightmare with film. I bought some film on eBay, which had expired in 1998 and came out completely brown and then I bought some film from The Impossible Project but I'm finding it really hard to get the photos just right. Has anyone else tried taking polaroids recently?

Have you been shaking the pictures as they come out? Shaking them too much and also not enough can effect the outcome.

Also, I've found that not every pack of film gets the same outcome. Even getting film from different places can have a vastly different effect even though it's the same type. Once you find good film, get it from the same place when you need more.

Eventually I settled for on an Instax and it's filled the polaroid-shaped hole in my heart!
