Suddenly, the original boy noticed a girl with long blonde hair and a terrible case of acne stood with the yellow snake's dead body wrapped around her neck like a scaly scarf. The girl wore a black halter dress, and her skin was as green as an avocado.
The girl gently stroked the dead snake as she stepped onto the platform. The twins stood frozen in fear at the newcomer. She smiled wickly at them revealing long sharp crooked yellow teeth. So you have killed Elvis and broken my spell on him. She said, easing towards the twin. Why can't I move? The orininal boy thought to himself, while his twin tried to look away from the girl and her dead snake.
The girl went up to the original boy, grabbed him on the shoulders and shook him.
"Wake up!" screamed the girl, "Wake up, wake up, wake..."
The boy awoke with his mother shaking him wildly.
The boy mother stopped shaking him once she knew he was awake. Sam, she said. You are just having a bad dream. Sam nodded his sweat soaken head. His mother patted him lightly on his shoulder and stood up to leave. Go back to sleep and no more scary movies before bed. Sam smiled, and said. Goodnight mom and I won't. Laying back down to sleep Sam laughed at his dream as his mother walked out of his room.
While adjusting himself into a more comfortable sleeping position, Sam happened to glimpse a mysterious shadow standing on the other side of the street from his bedroom window, which was slightly cracked to allow the cool night breeze through.
"What's that?" he muttered as he got up to look out the window. The figure stepped, or more like crawled, underneath the streetlight. It was an octopus with a mustache and top hat. The boy ducked down, afraid that the creature would see him.
There was a loud crashing noise from the other side of his room. The boy turned to see his twin there. "How did you get here?" he asked. "Oh, I was just popping in to say hello. Didn't you see me underneath the streetlight? I was waving to you." "Wait, you're here at 3 o' clock in the morning dressed as an octopus with a moustache and top hat and you're just POPPING IN TO SAY HELLO? You've been missing for years and you're just STOPPING BY?"
"Things have changed, brother," his oddly-dressed twin replied cryptically. "I have realized two important things; one, that there can be one good twin and one bad, and I am the bad one. And two, that having six extra arms is extremely convenient."
With that, the recently-missing boy grinned, a deadly smile with sharp, yellowing teeth in the shape of a half-moon, and stepped torturously slowly towards his brother, who seemed to have frozen under the heavy gaze of his twin's purple-rimmed eyes.
"Yellow teeth? Wow you sure have let yourself go...." The boy teased.
"Excuse me?" His twin scowled at him with a face that could stop anyone in their tracks. The boy clenched his fists... His eyes turned red and he grew wings...
"But I thought I was the evil one!!!" The twin screamed as he dissappeared into a fog. His room filled with smoke and he coughed...
"It's times like this that make me happy I bought those red lenses." He grinned............
And that was when the unicorn arrived.
"Hop on..." The unicorn sang.
the boy looked at the creature hesitantly but decided to jump on it's velvety back...
"I didn't think unicorns existed," the boy muttered, confused.
"Do you think your mom exists?"
"I've never met my mother, she left when I was a baby..." the boy said quietly. At that moment the horned creature dissappeared...and it's place was a woman with long purple hair.
"Mother..." the boy whispered
He had begun to reach out to her, then stopped mid-step. How did he know this crazy woman was his mother when he had never met her?
The boy pulled out his wand and cast a spell to show her true self, the brief flash of light from the magic flashing his lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.
