What are you goals?
At the start of the year I set myself a bunch of goals including to jog everyday, write a book, learn music and start my own blog. I feel I've been doing well at most of them - especially the jogging.
Anyway I was wondering if you guys set any goals for the year and how you motivate yourself to stick at them?
short term: to get the keltie colleen interview done I've been a little busy lately since classes started again but am I'm working on getting it done so I can send it to you to be featured in Snippets
kind of long term: transfering to NY or CA and doing well in school and getting a few internships annnd not getting mugged or assulted
My short term goals are to read a few books written by women, for women. A couple Guerilla Girls book and a book by Inga Muscio.
Long term, I am doing my best to change my lifestyle so I can lose 55 pounds by my 23rd birthday (next year). To inspire myself, I'm looking at clothing I can wear when I get to my target weight, and I've been watching Heavy on Netflix to see what people go through--to see how they're motivated to better themselves. I just bought a bike to help myself exercise every day while I am in school.
I'm trying to be better student & focus on all my college junk...stop slacking off (and cutting classes)
Make some kick-ass jewelry pieces.
Try to make a bit of money selling said kick ass pieces
Update my blog more.. and yknow..blog..better lol
Spend more time with our 1 and a half year old foster baby <3
Work out and try to lose some weigh so I can actually wear jeans again...I'm basically in a leggings only situation at the moment & it's pretty pathetic so I feel you Monika Gottindottir!!!!
I'm doing the 60 day insanity work-out but I'm having a hard time keeping the schedule :/ 30 mins - 45 mins a day shouldn't be so hard to carve out to lose some lbs...but it just keeps slipping away and food just keeps being awesome..
I bought a new bike, spent just over $600 on a high quality one that'll last the rest of my life. Food is really easy to resist when I ride 10 miles a day on the weekends. I've taken to eating mostly fruits and veggies with yogurt as my main protein source. I feel like I'm on the right track. It does take a lot of getting used to, and I think to finally be able to lose weight and maintain it, it's going to take a tremendous lifestyle change. My fiance and I decided to set up a reward system for every 10 pounds I lose. At 20 pounds, he's taking me to the Mall of America, and when I get 30 pounds off, I am going to get my bellybutton pierced. When I lose all 55, I'm going to build a completely new wardrobe!
My goal is to get a sponsorship from Hoyt (a bow company) and to make the South African Olympic archery team in 4 years. Last week I started my coaching with the Olympic coach, after a guy who knows him had been watching me shoot at my old club since I started and had monitored my progress. I have my coaching sessions once a week, where I shoot +- 300 arrows in 2 hours (before I used to shoot +- 400 arrows a WEEK). I started doing other excercise because my coach advised me to so that I can stay fit. It's a lot of work but it's worth it.
Long term - Since finishing school and working full time... Save. Save Save Save until I can pay off school, get a new (used) car and find a new place to live.
Short term - loose 5-10 more lbs and read all the Sookie Stackhouse Novels. Me and my boyfriend watch true blood but only he has read all the books
Let's see... Lose weight, take my MCATS and get a good score, graduate, maybe relocate to London, knit myself a sweater, craft more.
My current goals are save money for a good camera, start a personal cookbook, and challenge my creative skills.
On New Years Day I set myself the goal of 300 followers on my blog, which I'm well on my way to completing! My more serious goal is to become more independent to ready myself for university life.
i set my self to start roller blading, becoming more organized and pass my Provinical's really good as the past grade 9's have failed it so wish me luck
I am having hit a bit of a rough patch so my daily goal is just finding the strength to get through the day.
Otherwise, I would like to continue travelling and eventually get my Phd.
