Black friday discounts!!!

It pains me to say this, but I have chosen not to go to the mall this Black Friday and instead go to Michaels Arts and Crafts store. Tongue As much as I want a half priced Hollister top... it shall be put on the back burner...

My dad paid for the tools getting started on beading and he ended up paying $80 which made me feel so guilty. And I haven't even bought the beads yet! I've been doing loads of chores ever since. He said he likes me learning these things since I've never been much of the "girly" type most of the time. This Black Friday dad is paying again but I'm going to fight through crowds of adults and their toddlers instead. XD

The mall I usually go to is usually crowded on regular days. On Black Friday... it's a battle zone before dawn. And I do bring a viking designed shield my friend gave me. No one ever goes near me with that thing no matter what and it can't be called a weapon. lol Think it's safe to leave my shield home this year?

The downfall of Black Friday of course is the people. I've gotten into many battles through crowds of people who are around 6 feet tall and me with my 5' 2" height. The shield helps but it can only do so much! And this is as best as I can get on prices because I'm not allowed to shop online.

For those with experience on Black Friday, what's your take on it?

I have never been through it, but Michales usually has great prices any day, the idea of a crowd of crazy shoppers, doesn't sound like fun to me

They did have good deals. It's just that I was buying all the starter stuff and the starter things ended up hitting $80 in total. Tools, wire, glues, ect. I dunno. Maybe mine nearby is just a bit more expensive than others.

I fight like the Spartan army on Black Friday. I am so tempted to yell in Michaels, "THIS IS SPARTAAA!!!"

What's worse? Working in a store during the holiday season or black friday? They both sound painful.

Two years ago I couldn't go black friday shopping. I woke up 4, got myself ready, and was about to head out when my parents say that they didn't feel like driving me. Didn't have a driver's license at 15... they were also on vacation so they didn't have work the day before nor that day... I was spending my own money...

That was a heartbreaking day.

Some stores start having their sales later in the day during Thanksgiving if the store is open. Happy

Our economy would eventually die a horrible and painful death if it was for more than one day. Taxes would kill us. XD

I feel old know that stuff now. lol
