Thrift finds

Of course you can post your finds here! That's what this thread is for!

The grids look very useful. I have used graph paper before to design pictures, but you basically have to draw it onto the graph paper. Whereas, it looks like you can lay those grids over an existing picture or painting.

The sampler is pretty too. I always think that those monochromatic samplers are classics that don't date. Great finds!

Apologies for the double post, I leaned on the button too long.

It's your topic, you can lean on that button as long as you like Wink

Last weekend's find Happy
And rather unusual, I think, I don't often find English books/booklets, especially not ones that seem fairly old?
There's something about iron-on patterns I just really, really like Happy

I like iron on patterns too. Those are very cute, as I sometimes find that vintage patterns can be a little twee.

Yes, I was surprised at how contemporary they look, although that might also be because vintage seems to be very "in" still lol.
The main reason I like iron-on patterns is because I'm lazy ;)
I wish there was a printer ink that would let you print out iron-on patterns on regular paper Love
I know there is special iron-on transfer paper, but I guess they are more suitable for actual pictures that you want to show off, instead of cover in thread Wink

I have used the iron on transfer paper before. It works well. I have also drawn in biro directly onto the fabric.

Wow, directly in biro?! You're a lot braver than me lol. Did you freehand it? Or is there a foolproof method even I could try? Happy

Oh, this is my last purchase, some graph paper and decorative sheets of paper.
Not very exciting, but I find particularly the graph paper very useful Happy
