Board Changes

Hey everyone,

We've made a few changes to the boards. First of all, we're sorry for any confusion and if any of your posts weren't where you left them. We wanted to provide you with boards forums for chatting about specific crafts, as well as new areas for discussing city guides, gift ideas and crafting as a business. We'll be adding more boards as demand increases for them, so let us know your opinions!

I think it's an interesting change. I for one like it, mostly because it's more categorized and I like organization :]
Plus, it kind of gives me more options and more of a chance to explore.
But I also think it might be confusing or a little intimidating to newcomers.
Nice job, though! It was a good idea.

i think it´s just confusing because we were used to the old board and knew exactly where to look. the new structure and categories are really great!
oh and, dressmaking has its own board!!!! i´m excited!!

I was confused. I automaticly click on the swap-board without watching and now I came out on a completly different board :-P

But it's nice to see everything in a separate catogory. It's clear where to put your question.

I have a petty request... would it be possible to move the swap shop closer to the top? Hehehe... Happy

Otherwise, I like the change. I think the categories will make it easier for people to ask and answer questions. Huzzah!

I like it, everything is much more organized and clear. I agree with REGINA though I think The "Swap shop" should be near the top since it's one of the most popular subjects.

I support Cassie B.'s idea of making the boards expandables (she posted about it in a thread on the "Problem + suggestions" board). I think that making them collapsibles could help people to get to the board they want faster. As a swapper I check the swap board several times a day and it's annyoing having to scroll down NINE times every time to get to the swap board.

Or, as an another option, you could move the "general" section to the bottom and move the "Craft chat & swaps", "Community" and "Site" to the top, as I feel these are the most important. I especially feel the "Site" one should be more visible, or else people are going to post site problems all over the other boards because they don't know there's a special board for it.

OK after a really busy weekend I'm ready to give my feedback.

It's nice having new categories but the presentation is jumbled simply alphabetizing it would make it easier to follow.

City Guides are nice but not the traditional forum for a crafting site.

Now onto the Swap board.I know this was not the intent when setting up the site but currently we have a very strong and supportive group participating.I am really sad to see that it seems to have been moved to the bottom of the list.

I do like the fact that you have created a business thread and think that it would be best to adapt the swap tread title to reflect this.

Change is always a challenge-looking forward to seeing the developments
