Mmmm, I've been a fan of Harry and Ginny since book 2, to be honest. Ron and Hermione I wasn't expecting at first, but I began to see it at about book 3. I would get upset each time a new book came out and, at the end, Harry and Ginny still weren't together!! :-P I really wish the movies showcased their relationship more; you see more of it in the books, and it just seems more organic there.

I agree that the books cover their relationship better but I think I'm biased about their relationship because I like the thought of Harry & Luna. I think they would be so cute together! They just have things in common that no one else can be a part of... Like we saw they both see the thestrals, they've lost parents. In the past they had little connections and conversations which I find could be a good foundation to build a relationship on.

Going by the movies alone (and this is as if I didnt read the books) Harry and Ginny don't really have anything to connect with on a deeper level. Early we see her get flustered when she finds Harry is in her house and runs away. Later he saves her in the chamber of secrets but it seems like their connection fizzles for a few movies and then suddenly they're kissing in the Burrow.

I always wanted Ginny and Neville to end up together as well but that's not going to happen! I guessed right with Ron & Hermione but after that I lost it. hahaha

I have to agree with you Lo, Harry and Luna make a really cute couple. I always wanted them to end up together because I think they suit each other more than Harry & Ginny.

I was always confused as to why Jo would have spent more time developing Harry's relationship with Luna, and not Ginny, since Ginny was the one he was to end up with. I really wanted to see more of her in both the books and the movies, but at least it makes SENSE in the books.

I actually didn't like it as much as the others. I knew this first part would probably bore me because there is a lot of nothing going on, but a lot of that nothing going on is actually important to the last half of the book. lol Plus they cut out some of my favorite parts of the book that I really wanted to see on the big screen. But the thing that bothered me the most was the shaky camera angles and jumpiness. I left the theater with a huge migraine and felt sick to my stomach because the whole thing was shaky. Probably didn't help that we couldn't find anything further back so my head was tilted waaaaay back. Not to say that I didn't enjoy the movie, it's probably just my least favorite.

I'm really looking forward to the second part. That's when all the juicy stuff happens! But I'll probably end up crying because of all the stuff that happens and the fact that Harry Potter will officially be over. T_T

Yeah, that whole thing with the cameras was ridiculous! Even I noticed it, and I never notice technical things like that--a mic could dip into the screen and I wouldn't notice.... but WOW, the cameras were having a big of trouble, weren't they??

Were the cameras really shaking?? I seriously didn't notice a thing. I guess I was too wrapped up in the movie! hahaha That's why I'm not a CSI I would miss a whole bunch of things!

maybe thats what they wanted. I really didn't pay attention to that, just to the story

I loved that Nick Cave got one of his songs in the movie. When I first started dating my boyfriend 6 years ago I bought him a Nick Cave CD (the very one that the song from the movie was on) because he is one of my all time favorite singers and I wanted my boyfriend to know who he was. We were probably the only two people in the theater who knew who was singing so it was kind of like it was only there for the two of us.
