christmas gift ideas

looking for some christmas gift ideas. something that i can make a bunch of and give out family and friends. the more cost effective the better.

I'm thinking about making chocolates and cholateboxes to put them in for some people. this is easy and you can make allot in ones.

further on I want to make this year a theawallets for a friend, plushie for the dog, key rings, christmas decoration and don't think I will have any time left to make anything else.

One year I did Christmas mugs with candy and cookies inside for everyone. My mom used to make a new Christmas ornament each year--we have a large family so she'd make like.... forty of the same ornament, date it with the year, and give one to each sub-family within the family. This went on for years, became a lovely tradition, and the rest of the family misses it these days. (Idk why she stopped.)

This year I'm not sure what to do, because suddenly I have to make Christmas happen for Shlomi and me, for his Jewish parents, and possibly his Jewish grampa, brother, and sister-in-law.... and I'm broke and have never been in charge of an entire family's Christmas before. xD

Ahh.. new traditions beginning.... :-P

I'm making bookmarks-really complex papercloth crazy quilt ones.
Snowed in today so I think I'll start a new tradition right now.I love the Christmas ornament idea.Off to make a batch.
These a standing joke about coffee and Seattle among the family so I'm also making cup sleeves.

I make Christmas ornaments every year for everyone. So far this year I've made some like the last featured project, Pleated Paper Flowers, I think. They turned out really nice. Last year I cut stars out of old jeans and then put scraps of ribbon and glitter and sequins and stuff on them.

I used mini paint cans, that I decorated, a filled those up

this year, I made felted stockings or got this cool little metal chests to put candies in
