Finger Knitting?

I recently started trying to finger knit.(One finger.) I can't get it to be tight. They look all loose. Can anyone help? I've also tried the one where you use all of your fingers, where you weave in and out. Are there any other techniques? Links to websites or videos would be appreciated.

I finger nit with 4 fingers, and My issue is the amount of yarn I use :3 I just dont really have a use for them either. I tried a scarf but ran out of yarn.

I saw a youtube video not long ago on finger knitting using 4 fingers and thought it was a great video that helped me out. Here is the link for it. http://youtu.be/t3LKAlDz9ig

i tried it on my 4 fingers and it was very loose, and i had to stop each time to move the yarn down because it just sat at the fingertips. i gave up and undid it (about 5 rows)

That's the problem with finger knitting, you don't get tight rows like in needle or loom knitting. It's great for kids who want to make a scarf, but it's not really worth the time and yarn it takes to make anything. It is fun, quick and relaxing. Great for an airplane since you cannot take needles on the plane.
