the idea of this is to share what we are doing to keep fit and to encorange each other

I agree,good idea!Im always trying to loose weight,always on some stupid diets...
The thing that works for me is to map out my whole day.That way Im sticking to the "plan" and not forgetting to exercise or to not eat.
Last year I lost 24 pounds (11kg) in two months eating only two times a day.At 9 in the morning and at 4 afternoon.And I was doing aerobic.It was too hard,and a few pounds jumped back.
But I started skipping out aerobic,I like exercising at home better.So I did the whole thing again,by eating 3 times a day and running in the morning,exercise in the afternoon.
Now I gave up on the whole thing.Im not good at kontroling myself.
But I want to loose weight desperatly so any tips are welcomed!
I've started dieting again after a 3 month gap... I was going swimming a lot but I had to cancel my membership because I can't afford it. Luckily last summer I bought a Wii and Wii Fit so I'm doing that atm...
I'm going to make sure that I do AT LEAST 30 mins most days... or everyday?? I did an hour today... =D
if u really want 2 diet properly u eat small meals at least 5 times a day maybe like half of what u normally eat per meal it boosts ur metabolism and plenty of water thats all i ever do 2 loose weight and right now nursing for a year again but ya do that and it will help
I started working with kettlebell in December. it came with an instructional dvd and it is awesome. i really feel like it is a good work out. i probably do it every other day.
i lost about 35 lbs last year by doing 200 crunches a day (100 in morning 100 right before dinner) as well as a little aerobic and light weight lifting everyday. I read this book called the Ultimate Tea Diet. It is so awesome, not really a diet like all the fads out there, just how to incorporate tea into your diet and I swear I lost 10lbs the first month. The book is just really motivating and it inspired me to eat healthier, think healthier. i need to find it and re-read it.
This is awesome! I know that we could all always use a bit of encouragement! I started as a new years resolution last year and lost 35 lbs. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. It was very nice to get past the half way mark I had been losing weight at a pretty constant pace for the whole year but have sort of come to a stopping point. My goal now is to have lost all the weight by next year. It is nice because me and my mom are both trying to slim down at the same time so I have a nice support system. My trick was to eat less and exercise everyday. *gasp* I know its crazy, but it really has worked! I eat small meals when I'm hungry and try not to get too full. I also make sure to do and hour of exercise daily. One other little trick is that when I reach a goal, I give myself a little gift (none food related of course). It sounds cheese but if you are working towards something it can really motivate you! I also think that the thing that really got me moving though was will power. I think that I really started to lose weight when I saw that I really wanted to. You have to make sure that you are losing the weight so that YOU can look and feel better. Not because other people are pressuring you in to it. Good Luck to all and I hope we can all make our goals! ))
Yeah I need to lose weight. I can only go boxing once a week now though, and haven't been back yet - that starts on Tuesday. Since I came back to uni I've lost a bit of weight because, thank god, sex counts as exercise! And I have sex maybe every other day. But I desperately need to lose more. Every time I look in the mirror I feel disgusting. I can't decide what to wear when I go out and end up just wearing jeans and a top or something, when all my friends are wearing dresses. And when I go to buy clothes, I always think "that will look really nice when I've lost weight", but I don't want to buy clothes that I can't wear yet.
Problem is I'm so poor, I thought I would have lost weight cause I'm not eating much. Maybe beans on toast and some noodles in a day? And some toast. I eat a lot of carbs but I'm vegetarian and can't afford vegetables and that, so I don't have much of a choice. I'm gonna start drinking water instead of squash, cause I drink a LOT of squash and it's bound to have loads of sugar in. And I might cut down to one sugar in my tea. And cut down on chocolate eating. I need to do exercise but can't afford the gym and I hate running. I might get an exercise DVD so I can do that in my room, and do sit-ups and that when I clean my room.
Sex is a good form of excersize... lol go you!!
I don't have much money ££ luckily I bought my Wii Fit when I got the bulk of my student funds about a year ago. I'm not well off for money now. Other than that cleaning and walking things you do everyday.
I love blasting a good tune to housework and dancing as I go along too...
I drink lots of water now, which I think helps to a degree, but it at least does wonders for my skin!!
I've been cutting bits and peices of bad foods out of my diet gradually lol

well girls, diets don't work. Eat what to love, but in moderation. Have that hamburger but skip the fries, have the fries, but try baking them not frying.
Use less fat, when I stir fry, I do with water not oil. Just a few drops of water, its grand.
Bake more! Skip the fryer
Eat at home more
use smaller plates
eat dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate
wow you girls have all inspired me to get back on that wagon of health...been eating like crap and not feeling motivated to do anything lately....
but reading this post I know i need to!!!! So Monday I'm back on it! Gives me a chance to get in some reading this weekend of what i need to do!

I think ,no I KNOW I lost some weight!!! YaaaaaaY!
And the best part is I didnt even do anything.
I just have no money at all,so I eat only what I cook and I cant aford any snacks. If I need something sweet I eat an apple or drink a cup off instant coffe.
I just noticed it this morning.The jeans that didnt fit untill now,I can wear them!!!
