Cloth Pads?

I have been using a lunette cup for over a year now. It's really, really great! I even turned my mother on to the idea-her cramps have disappeared since she started using one! Cups are great because they give you no increased risk of TSS (UNLIKE tampons, because there's no absorption going on) and you can wear them when you're expecting your period to come, not just once it does come.

I experience a little bit of residual blood (think about-it's gonna happen with a cup) and so I wear panty liners. I've been thinking about making some cloth ones to replace the disposables, though. Much nicer! I also use a pad at night, because I do experience leakage right when I get up in the morning. Something odd about the movement, not sure what that is... I do use cloth pads at night sometimes.

As for the cup-public restroom dilemma, here's my fix. If you're not going to be able to get home over when you need to empty, you can just tip it into the toilet and put it back in. You can wipe out with TP or not. You should definitely wash it out well with a wash when you get home.

I like using softcups! they are also eco friendly and more green than tampons and especially pads if cotton pads aren't your thing (I know I wouldn't want to wash them in my washer personally) try using softcups, or as Sarah S. uses Divacups!

I use cloth pads sometimes, I used to live with my grandmom and she hated all kids of disponsables...
I wash them on 90 degrees (like the babies nappies) and then in the washing machine with the regular clothes at 40-60 degrees.
I just heard about the cups here... I haven't seen them here, just an online site that sells 50 cups for 50€ plus shipping... I think it's too much money for something just to try it out. :/

I wear the cup with period panties that has a few panty liner inserts. as for reusable toilet paper, I prefer them to disposable now. When I first heard about them I was grossed out as well. Until I ran out of tp lol. I had no choice but to make them when i ran out of tp and no money to buy any. It feels SO much more comfortable than paper tp. even more comfortable than the expensive brands. I thought in reality My panty liners are touching my lowers areas all the time. My twins already have reusable wipes so why not make family wipes? at first I was only wiping for number 1 as wiping for number 2 was still uncomfortable at the time. but eventually I converted over completely. I just soak them in Steaming hot water before I wash them, put them in the laundry machine then wash my hands thoroughly. I think its even cleaner to use them over the disposable ones as you can control how sterile they are. the disposable ones you can't.
