Anyone know how to distress a jumper?

I've been seeing quite a few laddered jumpers in shops like these:

http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-V-Neck-Ladder-Stitch-Jumper/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=721675

Ive got a couple of old jumpers hanging around so really would like to try making one myself.

Just wondering if anyone has seen any tutorials on how to go about it?

Here is a great video on how to shread your sweater like that. Only thing I suggest- is you hand wash and flat dry when you're done with it.

They're knitted that way, and usually unless you're super careful just ripping them causes the ladders to just keep going and a lot of the stitches undo. Its really easy to do on a knitting machine if you had time/access to one but other than that I don't know, sorry.
