wrapping paper

Anyone make their own? Use unusual touches? Throw wrapping paper out the window and use something else entirely? Share! So far my ideas:

-newspaper with caution tape as ribbon for boyfriend's present
-brown grocery bags rubber stamped and potato printed/fruit printed
-use old fabric

How bout you?

I have in the past used thin card stock and sprinkled glitter on it and wrapped it up with a ribbon and a bow on top.
That is best if you have a nicely square or flat present, so it looks nicely presented.

I'm wrapping mine with brown paper and string and a silver heart stamp. It's not very much but oh well! I like the newspaper idea

I've used fabric in the past, it looked very nice but was expensive because I have a lot of family members.

Try making a present part of the paper. I once gave a friend an xmas prezzie and used a christmas teatowel as the wrapping paper.

I like that idea Greg, I work in a hotel and people are always leaving behind perfectly good maps Happy

Magazines are fun. Well, I expect they would be. Last birthday I got "I was going to wrap it up in pages of the Beano for you, but have you seen how much it costs?!"
