Pill Bottle recycling

I take a lot of medications and end up with a lot of the clear amber pill bottles littering my house. I have tried and tried to come up with something to make or do with them, but I keep drawing a blank other than simple storage. I noticed how creative everyone here is (I LOVE the craft ideas I've found here) and I thought I'd put the challenge out there. Any suggestions?

Hmm, I'll think on it. I haven't collected many pill bottles, but they're great for keeping seed beads and small bits and pieces in.

You could try to make a puppet with strings.. I have no idea how, but like all his bits are the bottles and then they are joined by string, you could paint them if possible or cover them in scrap fabric to make a person puppet or a robot puppet!! that would be cool.. I think so lol

If you still have the lids, keep them on and make a hole through the bottom of the bottle and the lid and tie knots on each end to keep the string secure Happy

One good thing about pill bottles is that you can put something inside for a noise maker. I'm thinking cat toys.

That's a good idea, you could even cover the bottle in felt an foam to make it soft and squishy.

Why not take a vase and glue them on the outside of it, it would look cool in the sun with the water reflecting off the amber colour.

That reminds me of when I was a kid, during the first big wave of Star Wars mania. We couldn't afford the expensive playsets for the action figures, so I used to build big ones out of boxes and styrofoam and toilet paper tubes. Pill bottles made excellent detention cells! But the action figures were much skinnier then than they are these days.

Happy That's funny. I like hearing people's stories of creative play. Kids recycle all the time. Happy

Yeah, I had some of the new Star Wars models and they would never have fit in to a pill bottle.

I'd use them as vases! I know they're only teeny but if you cut flower stems really short they'd look so cute!

My house is going to be full of mad vases one day. Maddest of them all are those Matey Bubble Bath bottles. I adore them.
