Health/body stuff

So this is a thread for like health discussion, exercise, stuff like that

I have a question, actually...does the "soup diet" work? Like, you eat nothing but soup for a week or so to get a flat stomach?
Have any of you guys tried it? I want to, we have a school trip in April and I want to be in shape for when we go swimming

I personally don't agree with these diets that aim at cutting out major parts of your diet in super quick time. Which is pretty much all diets!

Exercise is best, especially as you are so young. Just eat healthily and exercise.

Yeah, I'm eating pretty healthy and I was counting calories but for some reason it was really stressing me out, so I just eat healthy and work out every night.

those diets really never work..you gain any weight back almost immediately when you begin to eat normal again. Also, your weight loss may not be in your stomach, it really depends on your body type. Plus, your diet becomes super super out of balance which makes it super unhealthy for you Happy

Just focus on a balanced diet, really thats more important than counting calories. If you are really interested in losing weight, maybe talk to a nutritionist or a naturopath, both would be able to help you with your current diet and your goals.

It would work as in it would make you lose weight, but that's only because you're effectively starving yourself by eating just water and very little food. And it wouldn't necessarily make you toned up, only exercise does that. I think I've basically just said what Opposites and Jessica said, so just keep up the exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet, no crash dieting!

I skipped today though, I'm way to exhausted : thats ok though right? normally I work out every day for 30 minutes

I don't agree with diets either - once you finish the diet you just put the weight back on. I've never had a problem with my weight but I need exercise!!!

and also try to eat slowly, it makes you feel fuller for longer and not so full that you feel huge. Unless you live in a house where if you don't eat fast you don't eat haha

do you bake? try baking and cooking, it's real food with no artificial crap in it.

I guess I don't have a problem with my weight, I just need to tone my abs. A lot. I'm so disproportionate, I'm skinny and toned expect for my stomach, which is just fat. Not that much anymore but I still really need to work on it.

I reallly want to try baking, but the problem is we never have the time to get the ingredients. :|

At our house, we always have time to eat slowly because my mom started Jenny Craig and now me and my mom are really body-conscious.
