Hair Advice - NEEDED!

ok so I wanna go blonde...BUT it's still got red dye in it, very faded though because I've got about 2 inches of roots to give you an indication of how long ago I dyed it - I can't even remember when it was. So I want to use a lightener and then a dye, would it destroy my hair!? I used proper bleach type stuff last time when I wanted pink on my ends but I left that on too long and it frazzled the hair, but this time I want to use a lightener that is recommended for use with a certain dye...soooo yeh help!

Well I've recently been bleaching my hair! But all I can say is that lighteners kinda do nothing but keep your hair nice. If you really want it lighter you have to sacrifice the last inch of your hair, really. And wash your hair every day with loads of conditioner after.

but wouldn't washing it everyday strip even more protein out of it!? I think I've given up on the blonde idea now, I'll just stick with red lol

That's why you'd need a really good conditioner. Dammit, I want to dye my hair red later in the year, but presumably I'll have the same problem.

I went with red Happy everyone keeps complimenting it Happy I did it quite well considering I don't dye it enough, takes me half an hour just to put the dye on lol I would just look washed out or pale with any other colour, red warms up my complexion

Looks really red in day light though and it had dropped a bit, I got it quite big and all the layer defined with some putty stuff but drink and a hot room makes it go crap! I got a very nice hair clip for that night too but you can't see it with the angle I'm at. That's like the only good picture of me from that night lol

Oh to have coloured hair again!

I've coloured my hair soo many times I can't remember. Everyone at work kept asking where all the colour was (I'd been away for 7months). I have bleached over faded colour before, I believe it was faded blue or purple at the time. If you don't like frizzy hair you did best to go with red again Happy And beaching I found never fully got rid of the colour anyway!

well i read with bleaching it works best if you bleach it then go over the top with a dye, as long as you use a really good conditioner or blonde product it will be fine. But recently ive gone all girly about hair and can't stand split ends, i bought conditioner and heat protection spray!!!
