    Step 2

turn it inside out and cut off collar.....doesn't that feel better?grab your chalk and outline where you'll cut for the neck...and done your chest to cut open

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    result

  4. Step 4

you either bought it or have it around, but you need a contrast faric that'll be used around the collar, for the button holes and to hold the buttons, and the-optional-pockets. Cut it into strips (how many?..as many as possibley needed)
(I used mine from old pants)also depending on your fabric chose, be carful of frays and tuck in the edges when you sew

    sorry no pixes...

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

ok follow me if you can:
I took one strip and put it around one side of the opening...this part is for the button holes that will be made later... but the one that'll hold the buttons will be done later......continuing, tuck in the frays at the edges and pin like
    <- so...then sew it down.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

ok, I'm gonna start at the collar now...make the longest strip you can and wrapit around the collar and cut at the appropriate length.tuck it in and pin it down and then sew...basically it's the same consept of the sewing of lesson #5

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

ok now for the one that'll have buttons...cut another strip wide and long enough...and get your pins, threaded needle, and buttons ready.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

ok before sewing the buttons on, you need to know where you'll have'em arranged and so grab a pencil and mark where ya want'em.& then sew

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

then like the other parts of this tutorial , attach it to the cardigan and (carfeul of frays) and sew

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

result and time to make button holes

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

put the buttonhole side over the buttons and mark em

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

do this for all your buttons

  13. Step 13

    Step 13

then cut open a hole, then use the overseeing stich on the hole and the button should be able to get in

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

    now this part is optional...pockets!
turn the cardigan inside out and grab a pen and ruler and make a not-too-big line and cut that said line

  15. Step 15

    Step 15

now grab an extra fabric and cut to the size of the line (like in pix)and sew the sides so it'll actually hold something

  16. Step 16

    Step 16

cut strap of the same length as well(if fabric crays cut a little longer then line to tuck in)

  17. Step 17

    Step 17

now turn the cardigan inside out, but keep the pocket inside and take the strip and pin the strip, cardigan, and one side of the pocket and sew
    <-result

  18. Step 18

    Step 18

then sew the other part/side of the pocket to the cardigan and sew...once done you have a hidden pocket...repeat pocket steps to get it on the other side...

  19. Step 19

    Step 19

    ok, the arms...cut off ends
    <-like so

  20. Step 20

    Step 20

grab a long enough strip to cover that end and cut off excess fabric, oin and sew...

  21. Step 21

    Step 21

done! repeat for the other arm and your cardigan is done, Rock it out, make more.
