Tie And Dye Top

  • Completed Project: Tie And Dye Top Picture #1

my white cotton kurta was so old.. but perfect for the summers

1st i decided which parts of the kurta i wanted to dye.. since i wanted just straight lines i made running stitches along the lines of varying thickness and pulled the thread tight.. and used a strong thick string to tie the areas between the stitches that i did not want dyed... and then used the cold dying process to dye the kurta... dried it over night.. cut the strings away and ... there it was.. my purple kurta....
