I used steak and brown rice in place of chicken and white rice, I also added a little more brown sugar than the recipe called for. At first I was skeptical. The sauce was watery and smelled much harsher than the sweet scent I expected. Withing minutes the sauce thickened and I did a taste test. It was prefect. The whole recipe turned out amazing!
