Tape Measure Rosette Brooch

A cheap and easy funky brooch!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Leaving a few inches spare take your tape measure in both hands and pull each side towards each side towards its self.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    using a needle sew the centres together, alternativly you can use some glue


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Repeat this step untill you have 5 loops, sewing or guing each time.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    now you need to create the second layer of loops.
    These loops need to be smaller than the ones below, 4 should be plenty


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Once you are satisfied with the fullness of the brooch cut off the excess leaving enough tape to fold over the into a normal loop and stitch/ glue the underside.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    With the excess strip, glue/sew this to the back of the brooch then attach a brooch back

Found this a couple days before mother's day, and my mom sews. I used a white tape measure, but i glued ribbon to one side. Thanks for posting. :D
