Paper Crane Mobile out of free stuff
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

This was a mobile I made for my daughter out of sticks and gardening magazine pictures. It is now about 4 years old and still hanging in her room. I love how that stuff holds up! Can't beat the value.

The other one is my sons... out of drift wood and paper.

I just folded the cranes in different sizes, took a needle with 20# fishing line on it, and stuck it through the crane and tied a bead on the other end for weight (to balance the sticks). The center I put a string of beads on my son's... but you don't have to. The only thing that takes time is balancing the cranes so they hang right. That can be a little tricky. But all in all, it is a really easy project and it holds up forever and looks great!
