This was lots of fun to make - made it for my halloween costume, but I think I'll make one for everyday use next time : )

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Pin a t-shirt to two layers of your fleece, using it as a template : )

  2. Step 2 2

Cut around it - keep in mind your seem allowence!

Sew together, leaving space for your arms and head. At this point, you'd have an awkward sleeve-less sweater : )

  3. Step 3 3

Cut a line down the front, and hem.

At this point, you have the choice to either put a zipper, or buttons, ot leave it as is.

I put a large button at the very top : )

  4. Step 4 4

Using your second material, make sleeves.

Referring to your t-shirt, position the top of your sleeves according to the angle on your t-shirt to your main "body" part.

Don't forget to finish all of your raw edges!~

I added lace to the edges of my sleeves.

  5. 5

To make the hood (sorry, no photo >.<), measure the perimetre of the hole where your head should be.

Divide this by two. This is will be the width or "depth" of the hood.

    Going back to your fleece.

Fold it in two, using the folded edge as the back of your hood, on it's perpendicular, mark the "depth/width" of your hood using the measurement that you've divided by two.

Adjust to how high you want your hood to be, and cut it out.

You should end up with a long rectangle with the longer side the same length as the perimetre of the space for your head on the body.

Fold it in half, and sew the top. Sew the hood onto the body.

  6. Step 6 6

For the ears, use the same material you used for the sleeves.

Cut out two ear shapes out of the craft foam. Using them as a template, cut out 2 shapes from the material for each ear with a good seam allowence.

So far: You should have 2 pieces of foam, and 4 pieces of material.

Sew around the material, leaving the bottom open. Slip the foam ear inside, which will keep the shape sturdy. Sew it closed, and handstich it onto your hood.

  7. Step 7 7

    And you're done!

I'm sorry if it's hard to understand, I have trouble writing tutorials XD
