NEEDLE SIZE: 3.5
GAUGE: 24sts and 36rows measure 10x10cm
Work the entire tie in seed stitch:
Row one: *Knit 1, purl 1. Repeat from * across.
Row two: *Purl 1, knit 1. Repeat from * across.
Repeat these two rows for pattern.
TIE
Cast on 2 sts.
Increase one stitch in both stitches (4)
Increase one stitch both ends every 2nd row until you have 12 stitches.
Work 30cm in seed stitch, decrease one stitch both ends. (10)
Work 2,5cm in seed stitch, decrease one stitch both ends. (8)
Work another 77cm in seed stitch.
Decrease 1stitch both ends two times, cast off 4 stitches.

thats cool. i knit but never thought bout knitting a tie. do you think that would look okay with a guy? or would a knitted tie look too girly for me? thanks for the how to =)

ahh love this, been looking for a pattern for one of these for a while after finding a few (somewhat overpiced) knitted ties in a local vintage shop.
brilliant.
