  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Start by drawing out a pattern on to cardboard. Simply draw around the iPod shuffle, making sure to draw each of the sides that go together in one big template. Leave a rectangle at the top for the flap. If anyone has any problems I can put up my template.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Cut out the template and score along the edges. Fold the template in to the iPod shuffle shape, making sure that the iPod will fit nice and snug.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Now the fun part, pick a bubble gum wrapper that you like. I needed to use two gum packet wrappers, but I'm sure you can get bigger ones. Glue the wrapper to your cardboard template.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Cut off all the excess wrapper and make sure it's all neat. Fold it back up and glue the ends together (I found it best to use super glue). Use a small piece of Velcro or a popper to lock down the flap.

I've got a chewing gum ball the size of my fist and still about 6 more packets to chew through. We overbought on the gum. Slightly. But now I've got minty / juicy-fruit breath...

i recently got a shuffle and decided to dress it up in a home-made cozy... so i tried the tutorial here. i made the case according to the directions, only i didnt use cardboard cause we apparently dont have any *rolls eyes*... i found that if you use the foil/sparkly kind of wrapper you dont really need cardboard. i didnt have velcro or a clasp either so i just put a hole in the top with a hole puncher and put the headphones in to secure it. it works pretty well.

anyyyway, thanks for the tutorial! ^___^

this is a a really "sweet" (!) tutorial i'm gonna have to make one for my friend - i suggest using Fruitella/Starburst packets as they're quite big in size
