Cool down this summer with some ice cream cone charms.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

The main thing that you need for this project is a mould shaped like an ice cream cone. My ones were candy moulds that I got in the cooking section of a craft store. If you can't find them, get some off ebay.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Fill the cone part of the mold with brown fimo and remove from the mould.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Place some tinfoil in the mould, squish in to place so that it takes the shape of the ice cream cone. Place the fimo cone in the bottom and remove the tinfoil from the mould.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Use a cotton bud to get the tinfoil nice and smooth. Then pour a small amount of the clear fimo in to the top of the tinfoil, spread it out using the cotton bud.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Sprinkle in some sprinkles, I used hundreds & thousands and strands, and spread them out with the cotton bud,

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Add some more clear liquid fimo, so that the scoop is level with the cone.

Place in the oven for 15 minutes until the fimo is hard.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

When the cones have cooled, screw in some screw eyes in the top and your charms are ready to go!

Cat, this is so cool! (as usual, your rock!!!) Is the liquid Fimo the kind used to transfer images? I saw some at the craft store, but was unsure if it was the right kind.

Thanks everyone, yeah Liquid FImo is also used for image transfer - you can usually find it next to all the normal Fimo - I only just discovered it though!

You really are like the crafting queen! If only I had MONEY! I wish I lived in michaels or some other amazing craft store, I might be able to make more awesome crap! lol.

I think I'm going to use resin for the top part of this, because I found REALLY cheap resin that works great. :D

Yeah resin would work well - I haven't quite got the hang of it yet.
