Really Basic :)
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

I got my Micas from www.tkbtrading.com.
They are called Pop! Micas. I have made my own eyeshadows for a long time but i have never thought of making a tutorial for it until i saw another girl's homemade mineral eyeshadows :)

I'll put up some "recipes" later. :3

  1. Step 1

Before you do anything , disinfect every thing you are working with. I use 70% rubbing alchohol.
Also, you should put on gloves and a dust mask.
    :)

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Here is what i used.
I got the Micas from TKB Trading and i got the baggies and stackable jars from Michaels.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Then decide what color you would like to make.
I'm am going to make a light purple color.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Start by picking out the main hue (purple) then add a scoop of that in your baggie.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

If your color has two tones
    ex: blue green
    add the second hue

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

If you want to deepen the color, add a a scoop of it's complimentary color.
(The color across from it on the color wheel)

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

If you need to lighten or deepen the color, add a scoop of either black or white.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Then mix it all up !

  9. Step 9

To add more depth, keep adding colors until you are happy with the results.

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

I like to keep what i've made organized by numbering them then putting the color on a piece of tape.
Then i tape it into my sketch book along with the "recipe" so if i run out of the color, i can make it again.

  11. Step 11

If you want, you can snip off the corner of the baggie and transfer the eyeshadow into a 5 gram jar.

If you use a good sticky base like MAC paintpots or Mehron Aqua Color, it stays on all day :)
You can also apply them "wet" just dampen your brush with water and mix it with the powder shadow and apply it on your lid. Using it wet makes it more vibrant.

I think this sounds brill and you can make any colour u want, you don't have to go by what the shops tell you 2 have. And it's probs a whole lot cheaper too. Although it's rather nice when someone else makes it 4 u!! Thnx 4 the how-to x x
