Halloween Bats

I made a herd of these cute bats for my front door years and years ago and have finally gotten around to sharing the pattern...just in time for Halloween!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Collect your supplies.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Print the bat pattern, also available on sewhooked.org.

    Pattern scale is approximately 6 inches across, finishing 12" across a piece of felt.


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Fold the acrylic felt lengthwise in half. Pin the Bat pattern on the fold.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Cut around the bat shaped pattern, leaving the fold intact. Fold fabric out.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Use hot melt glue to attach google eyes, being careful to use only a dot of glue.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Use pattern placement as a guide.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

    Use the same method to add the magnets to the back of the bat.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

    Use the placement shown on the pattern.

i dont beleieve in halloween but im going to make some for my room
its al pink at the moment so i might put some on my curtains!
