I had some colouring pencils that were a bit rubbish, but I didn't wanna throw them out so I came up with this idea...
Cover an old glass jar with them! I had scissors, pens etc with nowhere to go, so I now keep them in one place :)

Pens, pens lots of PENS!!!

Measure around your glass jar with a piece of paper or thin card. When it overlaps, cut off the excess.

Lay all your pencils out and decide on how you want your holder to look.

Sharpen all your pencils so that they're all the same length. This can take ages!!

Glue the pencils onto your paper or card. Do this until all of it is covered with pencils.

Stick the paper or card onto your glass jar paper side down.
Now fill it with all your loose pens etc. You could also use it to store other things like combs, hair accessories, paintbrushes...
