Having ridiculously natural straight hair, the only thing I needed to buy for this project was a hair straightener. I found one in Argos (uk/irelad) for €6.49 as part of their own value range. ~
This small 5inch pink and white tail took 5 hours to do. I did it all in one night of watching very bad tv ~
The colours weren't by first choice, its a baby pink, and really I would have liked to add more white at the tip, but I seem to be very low on acrylic in my stash, it was between a pink or lime green and yellow tail. ~
The white was baby dk which shed too much as its TOO soft so I had to trim away some pink at the end to make the white tip visable. ~
I found the top difficult to get neat so at the end instead of looping the last two peices through i simply laid one on each side, (2 in total), and sewed through the middle knots, through the plat, and back a couple of times. ~
I attached to a tag chain, I seemed to have from somewhere, using a bit of hot pink ribon which I threaded onto a sharp needle and ,with some difficulty, jammed it through the top of the platt top knot. I tied this tightly on to the ball chain and presto. ~
I then combed out the top wool and straightened it down the top of the tail. ~
Whatever arcylic pink I used is SUPER silky and almost too pretty to look vaugely like a fox tail! Almost like a rabbit foot. I dont mind as i'm sure it will get fluffed up being tossed around on my big navy holdall where it now lives! ~
I will be making more of these! LOVE! ~
I see a grey fox, red fox, artic fox, grey wolf, black wolf, black/white racoon and maybe, just maybe, a skinny red panda tail. ^_^
